Cybercrime Markets Keep Selling Enterprise Access Despite Forum Takedowns and Arrests

Brief

Dark web markets remain active despite forum seizures, arrests, and disruption campaigns. Criminal groups quickly move to new platforms, copycat forums, encrypted channels, and private brokers.

For enterprise defenders, pricing trends across these markets offer a useful warning signal: they show which assets attackers value most and where criminal investment is increasing.

Low-cost stolen data is now widely available. US Social Security numbers may sell for only a few dollars, while basic personal information such as a name and email address can cost less than $15.

Complete identity packages, often called “fullz,” include a victim’s name, address, Social Security number, and date of birth. These packages commonly sell for $20 to $100.

Payment-card data is also cheap. A US card with CVV data can sell for around $10 to $40. The low price does not mean the threat is low.
